This Weekend's "Flight of Fancy" Wine Selection:

Prepare your palate for this fresh and diverse line-up for our third "Flight of Fancy" weekend!

The Whites & Rosés:

  • Picpoul de Pinet, Château de la Mirande
    • £4.50/£6.20/£9.00
    • Region: Languedoc, France
    • Tasting Note: A bright and briny character to sit alongside the hint of white flowers and plentiful ripe green fruit at the core. It's not at all austere, but nicely mouthfilling while retaining all the zip and zing expected of a wine like this.

  • Amalaya Blanco
    • £4.90/£6.80/£9.80
    • Region: Salta, Argentina
    • Tasting Note: Brilliantly intense peach, elderflower, lychee and rosewater aromas that lead on to a soft, rich and flavoursome palate freshened up by clean, mouth-watering acidity. And while delicate and silky in the mouth, it rounds off with a flinty mineral edge and long fruit-filled finish.

  • Ameztoi Getariako Txakolina
    • £5.50/£7.60/£11.00
    • Region: Spain
    • Tasting Note: Bracing, salty, and with a slight natural spritz, it's like a cold slap from the Bay of Biscay - in the best possible way. And Ameztoi's take is everything you want from Txakolina - racy, briny, and buzzing with life. Classic bracing Basque at full throttle.

  • Domaine de la Zouina 'Volubilia Gris' Rosé
    • £4.70/£6.60/£9.50
    • Region: Morocco
    • Tasting Note: This rosé is stylistically quite southern French in character and has the delicate, pale colouring you'd see from Provence. It's got fresh and crisp peachy aromas with some bright red fruit flavours and a subtle touch of florality and minerality on the palate.

  • Château La Lieue Provence Rosé
    • £5.70/£8.00/£11.50
    • Region: Provence, France
    • Tasting Note: Made from a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Carignan, all harvested at night to keep the fruit fresh, this organic rosé ticks all the boxes. Refreshing and well-balanced, it effortlessly captures the essence of Provence..

The Reds:

  • Amoterra Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
    • £4.50/£6.20/£9.00
    • Region: Abruzzo, Italy
    • Tasting Note: it's all about juicy berry fruit, gentle spice and plenty of freshness. No oak, no fuss - just a soft, supple red with good concentration and not a rough edge in sight. Vibrant and fruit-forward with a smooth, satisfying finish.

  • Shadow Point Pinot Noir
    • £4.90/£6.80/£9.80
    • Region: California, USA
    • Tasting Note: Bursting with juicy red cherry and raspberry, it's layered with a hint of earthiness and a subtle whisper of oak for added depth. A silky texture and lively acidity keep it fresh and vibrant.

  • Château des Antonins, Bordeaux Supérieur
    • £5.00/£6.90/£10.00
    • Region: Bordeaux, France
    • Tasting Note: It bursts with aromas of black cherry and blackcurrant, with just a hint of toast and tobacco in the background. Supple and charming, the soft tannins give it a lovely harmony.

  • Château Oumsiyat, Mount Lebanon, Merlot
    • £5.50/£7.60/£11.00
    • Region: Bekaa Valley, Lebanon
    • Tasting Note: This Merlot is all about the fruit-ripe, juicy black plums with a touch of vanilla sweetness. It's from vineyards high up in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, where the soil gives it a hint of something earthy.

We can't wait to welcome you this weekend for another unforgettable "Flight of Fancy"! Come, relax, and sip into summer with us.
