A Tantalizing Dance of Vibrancy and Sophistication
For our July Wine of the Month we've gone for a suitably seasonal rosé from Waterkloof of Stellenbosch, one of our favourite South African estates. It epitomizes the vibrant spirit of winemaking in this part of the world, bursting forth with an exuberant charm and dancing on the palate like a joyous summer breeze. While the alluring pale pink hue whispers of delicate floral fragrances and sun-kissed red berries.
A triumph of elegance and finesse, Circumstance Cape Coral Rosé effortlessly captures the essence of the coastal beauty of the vineyards surrounding False Bay from where it hails.
Stellenbosch, nestled in the Coastal Region just below Cape Town, is undoubtedly South Africa's premier wine-producing area with a history of viticulture that dates back to the arrival of European settlers in the 1600s. Today it's home to many of the country's most prestigious wineries and its reputation speaks for itself.
While Waterkloof is a relatively new kid on the block - it was founded in 2004 perched high up on the windswept Shapenberg overlooking False Bay - they've quickly carved out an enviable reputation for their organic and biodynamic wines.
Made from 100% Mourvedre - a key variety in many southern French rosés - its defining characteristics are its pale colour, fresh red berry aromas and clean, flinty notes apparent in the aroma.
It's a perfect summer rosé, ideal for enjoying nicely chilled all by itself. Or if you're serving up some sushi - tuna based in particular - it'll also go down a real treat.
Starting on Friday 30th June and throughout July it's available at £14.00 per bottle singly, or as part of a Mixed Six and for every bottle purchased you'll earn a bonus 100 loyalty points as well (that's worth £1.00 on redemption)
