Monchshof Brau

Medium

Mönchshof is a German word for 'Monastery' which is where the original brewing activities started all the way back in 1349 in the city of Kulmbach in the Upper Franconia region of Bavaria. In the 1980s it became a part of the larger Kulmbacher Brauerei which has a number of other brands under its ownership. However the extensive Mönchsof range of beers remain one of their most imoprtant labels, especially in export markets. They have their own beerhall and museum in the centre of Kulmbach.
