Description
Fruit & Kettle Sours, Berliner Weisse & Gose
England: Berkshire
Vegan - ABV 4.8% - 44.0cl
In a Nutshell:
A tangy sour with strawberry, lime zest and sea salt - think margarita reimagined as beer.
The Lowdown:
Not many beers nod to a cocktail, but this one leans straight into it. Three of Swords takes a bright sour base and layers on strawberries for fruit sweetness, lime zest for sharpness, and a touch of sea salt to tie it all together. The result is tart, refreshing and moreish, with fruit and acidity working in tandem. A beer with the vibrancy of a margarita, delivered through a brewer's lens.
The Brewery:
Founded in 2023, Indie Rabble Brewing Company is to be found under a railway arch in the charming surrounds of Windsor, rather than the usual gritty city centre. They've quickly earned a following with their varied range, from German-style lagers and hazy pale ales to kettle sours and hearty stouts. And their efforts haven't gone unnoticed - by March 2024, they'd already won SIBA's Best New Independent Craft Brewery award, cementing their spot among Britain's indie breweries.
