Description
Soft, Hazy & East Coast Style Pale Ale
England: East Sussex
Gluten Free - Vegan - ABV 5.0% - 44.0cl
In a Nutshell:
A hazy US-style pale ale with citrus brightness, touches of tropical fruit and a soft, rounded finish.
The Lowdown:
Paradise doesn't come in pastels often, but this pale gets close. It leans firmly towards the modern American style, pouring naturally hazy with citrus and tropical fruit to the fore and a thread of pine in the background. Bitterness is reined in, letting the hop character take centre stage. With plenty of aroma and a softer edge, it shows how a pale can be bold without being brash.
The Brewery:
Born in the cellar of The Pelham Arms, Lewes, in 2016, Abyss Brewing Company is a modern microbrewery that's rather forward-thinking. From dark and brooding stouts to lighter, hoppier numbers, they craft beers with personality. In 2020, they beat 19 other hopefuls to bag the BREW LDN Accelerator prize and wrapped up a successful Crowdfunder to open the Abyss Brewery Tap in Lewes the following year. Their ethos? Beer as community glue, with creativity and collaboration front and centre.
