Description
English Style Pale Ale
England: East Sussex
Vegan - ABV 3.4% - 5.0 Litres
In a Nutshell:
A session-strength, hazy XPA with Mosaic hops, tropical fruit notes and gentle bitterness.
The Lowdown:
XPA means Extra Pale Ale - lighter on strength, big on hops but not too bitter. Nonchalant Shark delivers al that with Mosaic hops bringing pineapple, mango and citrus, while a soft haze and oats add texture. The emphasis is on fruit character, balanced by enough body to keep it from feeling slight. It's a session beer with freshness, balance and more flavour than you might expect at this end of the scale.
The Brewery: Lost Pier started life as a roaming, or "gypsy," brewery - borrowing kit where they could to get their beers into the world. These days they're firmly settled in Brighton, with a name that nods to the city's forlorn West Pier. The beers themselves are eclectic and modern, leaning heavily on hop-forward pale ales and IPAs but never shying away from the odd experiment. What began as a nomadic project has become a Brighton fixture, with a style as colourful and varied as the city itself.
