This is an artisanal Mezcal, made using only traditional methods. The agave is cooked underground before being crushed in a tahona. Natural fermentation is adopted, and distillation only takes place in copper-pot stills. This process creates a well-balanced mezcal perfect for enjoying neat or in a cocktail. This mezcal has a slight citrus character balanced with a touch of bitter and subtle smoky notes.
The Producer:
In 2010, brothers Eduardo and Julio Mestre, fuelled by a deep passion for Mezcal and its Mexican roots, decided to quit their day jobs and launch Los Siete Misterios. Their mission? To introduce the world to the finest Mezcals. They stick to traditional production techniques, ensuring each bottle retains the rich, multifaceted flavours that mass production often strips away. The result is a diverse range of Mezcals, each expressive of the unique terroir of its origin. Every sip is a journey through the rich heritage of Oaxaca.
