Description
Dry Stout & Porter
England: London
ABV 7.0% - 33.0cl
In a Nutshell:
A balanced and hoppy Export Stout from Bermondsey's Kernel Brewery.
The Lowdown:
A recreation of an 1890's recipe for London Export Stout made in Kernel's inimitable style. Full of rich fruity flavours with a comforting warmth. Balanced with a hoppy bitterness and espresso flavours it's a dark and stunning beer.
The Brewery
The Kernel was brewing in Bermondsey before the now-famous Beer Mile was even a thing. Founded in 2009 by Evin O'Riordan, it set the standard that many others would follow - proper, no-nonsense beer with a focus on quality over hype. And they're not one of those trendy craft brewery brands that started small but sold out to the corporates when the big boys came knocking. The Kernel's indie credentials and credibility are as strong today as they were when they started.
