Description
West Coast Style Pale Ale
England: Berkshire
Vegan - ABV 4.0% - 44.0cl
In a Nutshell:
An American pale with citrus and tropical hop flavours - punchy and full of character without going heavy on the ABV.
The Lowdown:
For an American pale, the combination of Columbus, El Dorado and Citra is pretty much tailor-made. You get the piney, earthy backbone from Columbus, bright grapefruit and tropical punch from Citra, and softer stone fruit with a touch of candy sweetness from El Dorado. Altogether, it's punchy and full of flavour, with enough bitter edge without overwhelming. And at 4.0% ABV it's not overboard with the alcohol.
The Brewery:
Founded in 2023, Indie Rabble Brewing Company is to be found under a railway arch in the charming surrounds of Windsor, rather than the usual gritty city centre. They've quickly earned a following with their varied range, from German-style lagers and hazy pale ales to kettle sours and hearty stouts. And their efforts haven't gone unnoticed - by March 2024, they'd already won SIBA's Best New Independent Craft Brewery award, cementing their spot among Britain's indie breweries.
