Description
In a nutshell:
A bone-dry, refreshingly crisp Brut IPA from North London that brings together bold hop aroma and sparkling-wine finesse.
The lowdown:
A Brut IPA that borrows a little sparkle and sophistication from the world of fizz. Brewed to be ultra-dry and lively on the palate, it takes the juicy aromatics of a modern pale and strips out the residual sweetness. Expect bright citrus, a touch of tropical fruit, and a clean, zesty finish. Light, aromatic and sharply refreshing - a smart, hop-forward beer with a crisp edge.
The Brewery:
Hammerton Brewery, as it is today, was set up in 2014 by Lee Hammerton and his now-wife, Karina. But the name's been knocking about for much longer - back in the 1860s, one of Lee's ancestors started the original Hammerton Brewery in Stockwell. These days, you'll find them north of the river, tucked between Islington and Camden Town. It's Lee's labour of love, turning out cracking hoppy pales, IPAs, and rich, flavoured stouts. Like many indie brewers, they're always experimenting, with an ever-changing roster of new beers to keep things fresh.
Style - Pale Ale ABV 5.4% - Moderate Strength
