Description
Rich & Powerful Red
Full-Bodied, Oaked
Spain, ABV 14.0%, 75cl
Vegetarian
In a Nutshell:
High-altitude Ribera red with dark fruit, spice and serious structure - bold, polished, and unmistakably powerful.
The Lowdown:
This is Ribera with its collar up and boots on. Dense, dark and built on high altitude Tempranillo, it doesn't mess about. A year in both French and American oak brings clove, smoke and a touch of vanilla to the party, while bottle age smooths out the edges. There's loads of black fruit, a bit of liquorice, and plenty of structure to hold it all in place. If you like your reds with presence and punch - without heading into overblown territory - this is absolutely in the zone.
The Producer:
Miguel Torres, founded in Catalonia back in 1870, is one of those wineries that seems to have quietly but steadily made a name for itself. Over the years, they've branched out from Spain into the USA and Chile, staying true to their roots as a family-owned business. The fourth generation, Miguel A. Torres has played a key role in modernising the winery and expanding its global presence and it's this blend of tradition and innovation that makes them stand out. Crafting wines that respect their heritage while looking forward to the future.
When to Drink:
Cracking with roast lamb, barbecued steak or slow-braised beef - the weight and spice work wonders with big flavours.
