Description
In a nutshell:
A vibrant and zesty, expressive Chilean Sauvignon Blanc bursting with citrus, tropical fruit, and a crisp, refreshing finish.
The lowdown:
You'd be forgiven for thinking this zesty Sauvignon Blanc hails from New Zealand, but it's actually Chilean - and just as vibrant. Bursting with gooseberry and a hint of fresh-cut grass on the nose, it has all the hallmarks of its Pacific cousins. Early harvesting and early bottling lock in bright lemony freshness and crisp acidity, keeping it lively and refreshing. Easy-drinking but with a bit of textural complexity, it's got plenty of character and is a good example of bright and breezy Chilean Sauvignon Blanc.
The Producer:
Boutinot, the guys responsible for this wine, is a big name in the UK's wine scene and are behind many labels seen on shelves up and down the country. Paul Boutinot kicked things off in 1980, starting with importing wines and soon partnering with winemakers around the globe. In Chile they work with a number of small family growers who pay attention to the quality of their fruit allowing Boutinot's winemaking team the best possible opportunity to make wines with their hallmark freshness and purity. This approach, along with providing excellent value for money, is something they've really nailed.
When to drink:
Things like zesty ceviche, grilled seabass, or lemon herb chicken - this crisp, no-nonsense Sauvignon Blanc pairs perfectly with them, its bright acidity and citrus freshness works a treat.
Suitable for Vegans
