Clean-tasting, lightly hopped Kölsch-style beer with gentle fruity notes and a crisp finish.
The Lowdown:
Kölsch? A beer with the look of lager but a softer, fruitier feel. Here it's done by the book: pale malts, ale yeast, cool fermentation, then lagered long enough to sharpen the edges. Hallertau Blanc hops bring their white-grape note, brightening the palate while keeping bitterness on a short leash. Clean, smooth and refreshing, with a flash of fruit left hanging at the finish.
The Brewery:
The Park Brewery was established by Josh and Frankie Kearns, a husband and wife team. Born from obsessive home brewing throughout 2012-2013 and after encouraging feedback from friends and local bottle shops (ourselves among them), they made the leap and invested in a small kit, found local premises and took the brewing out of the family kitchen. They moved into their current brewery in Kingston-upon-Thames in 2018 and being based near Richmond Park, they've used the history and landscape of the place to inspire the naming of their beers.
