Description
In a nutshell:
Cornish pale ale offering delicate hops and a refreshingly light body - perfect if you're after an easy-drinking beer with a touch of flavour.
The lowdown:
This is a proper pale ale - a beer that doesn't hold back. The American hops sing with citrus and a touch of pine, balanced beautifully against a classic, biscuity malt base. There's a good bitterness there, but nothing overwhelming. The lighter strength makes this a superb session beer. Perfect with a ploughman's lunch on the terrace.
The Brewery
Ah, yes, Padstow Brewing. Rising from humble beginnings in a cramped surf shower, these Cornish brewers have done rather well for themselves. Some still call Padstow 'Padstein' due to a certain chef's culinary empire, but this lot make something you can actually drink. Ten years of tinkering, and now they've got the awards and a proper-sized brewery to prove it. Rather them than the soggy surf shower, I should think.
Style - Pale Ale ABV 3.6% - Session Strength
Gluten Free
