Description
In a nutshell:
A lively Mâconnais white that's bright and refreshing, with crisp citrus and peachy notes balanced by a smooth, mineral finish.
The lowdown:
Crafted in the Chavy family cellars at Puligny-Montrachet, this Mâcon white comes with a touch of Puligny flair. The fruit gives a vibrant mineral freshness, softened by a generous, round fruitiness. It was vinified entirely in stainless steel to keep the purity of the fruit front and centre. Its expressive citrus and peach flavours are balanced by a bright acidity, finishing long and fresh. It's an easy-going, characterful wine that's thoroughly enjoyable.
The Producer:
Corentin Chavy, who works alongside his father at the family domaine in Puligny-Montrachet, has recently ventured out to produce wines under his own label. Sourcing fruit from select growers across Burgundy, he's crafting wines with the same meticulous care and skill that defines the Chavy name. The wines, vinified at the family's cellar, show a commitment to quality, much like the Chavy Côte de Beaune classics.
When to drink:
Roast chicken, creamy risottos, or seafood pasta make ideal partners the fresh acidity and fruity edge balance and lift these richer dishes nicely.
