Description
In a nutshell:
A crunchy Peanut Butter flavoured Stout from Islington's Hammerton Brewery.
The lowdown:
It only took 3 months and 37 experiments to perfect this recipe. But finally Hammerton found the perfect ratio of Peanut Batter, Lactose and Biscuit. A massive hit of roasted peanuts and biscuits on the nose, followed by a silky-smooth mouthfeel and a sweet crunch as it goes down.
The Brewery:
In 2012 Lee, disappointed by the lack of interesting Craft Breweries in North London, began brewing his own hop forward beers and dark stouts, whilst still balancing his 9-5-day job. Lee was joined in support by Karina, who uses her commercial experience to steer the business, allowing Lee space to craft the beers. The name Hammerton Brewery came when Lee discovered he had a rich brewery heritage through a distant relation, which shut down in the 1950's. Since the early days, production has increased massively, Hammerton Brewery continues to thrive with its impressive core range and special experimental brews.
Style - Stout ABV 5.4% - Moderate Strength
