Description
In a nutshell:
A luscious and rounded, fruity and aromatic South Australian blend of Viognier and Marsanne.
The lowdown:
A classic McLaren Vale white blend which is all honeyed peaches, ripe apricots, and a touch of guava - that's the Viognier having its moment. It's got a bit of weight to it, thanks to the Marsanne, which adds even more ripe stone fruit to the party. A hint of oak adds an interesting layer, and then zingy apple and citrus cut through the richness. It's got this lovely waxiness to the texture, and the flavours just seem to last forever.
The Producer:
d'Arenberg are a wild Aussie spirit in the heart of McLaren Vale. Chester Osborn's a showman, no doubt, and that shines through in their bewildering range of wines. Much more than just Shiraz - they've got everything, with quirky names and flashier labels. Yet, beneath that razzle-dazzle, there's a serious focus on organic and biodynamic vineyards. Whether you love them or find them a bit much they always get people talking.
When to drink:
Rich and aromatic, this is a lovely foil for the salty, tangy flavours of a stir-fried noodle dish or a fragrant Thai curry.
Suitable for Vegans
