The lowdown:
Conker Dry Gin is distilled in Bournemouth using British wheat spirit and New Forest Spring Water and is a refreshing take on a classic London Dry. 10 botanicals well-balanced and Juniper-led, with the bright and refreshing Dorset notes of elderberries, marsh samphire and hand foraged gorse flowers are used in the process. It's an intricate gin that is slightly less dry than its London Dry cousin, but complex and layered, with a bright freshness and intriguingly long summery finish that invites the second sip. It makes a moreish G&T and a divine Dry Martini.
The Producer:
Established in 2014 by Rupert Holloway, a former chartered surveyor, Conker Distillery sits the suburbs of Bournemouth. Rupert, having swapped his suit for the still, hasn't looked back since. The distillery prides itself on producing small batch spirits that embody quality and authenticity and their dedication to doing things the right way has earned them a loyal following.
