This is a fresher, more modern take on Rioja, putting vibrant fruit front and centre rather than leaning into the more traditional oak-forward style. Made mostly from Tempranillo, with just a tiny bit of Graciano and Garnacha in the mix, the fruit comes from Roda's younger vines, aged between 15 and 30 years. It still gets to spend 12 months in French oak though, resulting in an elegant, medium-bodied wine with juicy red fruit, a touch of sweet spice, and silky, polished tannins. Everything is beautifully balanced and well-integrated, with a finish that's smooth, refined, and quietly persistent.

Founded in 1987 by Mario Rotllant and Carmen Daurella, Bodegas Roda is part of the new generation of Rioja producers reshaping the region's wine styles. Moving away from traditional oak-influenced wines, their focus is on crafting deep, complex wines that appeal to modern tastes.
