Description
      Spain: Duero Basin
Firm & Spicy Red
Medium-Full Body - Oaked
ABV 14.5% - 75.0cl
In a Nutshell:
Corimbo I shows Ribera del Duero in polished form. Dark fruit, spice and firm but rounded tannins.
The Lowdown:
Made with grapes from 40 year old vines giving it an intense, rich, deep character. The result is a big bodied wine with ripe black fruits and touches of balsamic, chocolate and herbs. The oak structure from the use 80% French and 20% American oak barrels for 16 months is very well integrated and the fine grippy tannins give good structure to the wine which has a pleasingly long finish.
The Producer:
Bodegas La Horra was established in 2009 by the renowned Rioja producer Bodegas Roda who were keen to explore the potential of the up-and-coming Ribera del Duero region. Since then, they've become one of the standout producers in the area and their wines, under the Corimbo label are now very highly regarded. With a focus on quality and a deep respect for the region's unique terroir, Bodegas La Horra has quickly made a name for itself.
When to Drink:
Roast lamb is the classic food match, but griiled, or roasted beef and game work similarly well.
