Description
In a nutshell:
Bright, zesty hops over a soft, wheaty base - table beer that knows its job.
The lowdown:
As the name suggests, this is a table beer - light, friendly, and easy to spend time with. Brewed in Lewes by Beak, it's all smooth oats and wheat underneath, with Citra and Idaho 7 hops piling on the juicy mango, lemon zest and a twist of orange peel. Full-flavoured but never shouty, it's the sort of thing you open for a quick one and end up sipping your way through the evening.
The Brewery:
Beak Brewery, nestled in the South Downs near Lewes, is a bird worth watching. Founded by food writer Daniel Tapper, they started life as a nomadic project, brewing hop-forward IPAs and saisons with the likes of Beavertown and Northern Monk. Now, with their own kit, they've landed in Lewes, and brew a diverse range of beers. Expect juicy IPAs alongside traditional best bitters and exciting mixed-fermentation projects. Their taproom, with its ever-changing beer list and street-food canteen, is a must-visit for any beer lover.
Style - Pale Ale ABV 3.4% - Session Strength
