Description
Traditional & West Coast Style IPA
England: London
ABV 6.2% - 33.0cl
In a Nutshell:
Traditionally English style IPA from south London's Wimbledon Brewery.
The Lowdown:
A traditional English IPA named after William Quartermaine, one of the owners of the original Wimbledon Brewery. The initial palate expresses the spiced orange notes and on to compliment the full luxurious textures. Balanced with spritzy carbonation, the beer finishes with crisp hop bitterness leaving a satisfying mouthfeel.
The Brewery:
Wimbledon has a brewing history stretching back to the Middle Ages, but the modern Wimbledon Brewery began in 2014, founded by Mark Gordon. After a career in the City, he set out to brew high-quality English beer in his home town and brought in experienced brewer Derek Prentice, formerly of Youngs, Trumans and Fullers. These days you'll find the brewery close to the site of the medieval Merton Priory just south of the town.
