Made from 100% Pinot Meunier, this English rosé really lets the fruit and fragrance shine. It's a beautiful ruby pink, and the nose takes you straight to a springtime hedgerow in full bloom. Smooth and totally moreish, the palate bursts with wild strawberries, ripe summer berries, and a hint of candied red apple. A super easy-drinker with enough complexity and structure to keep things interesting.
The Producer:
The story of Wayfarer Wines begins in 2016 when Jeff Ashford planted his first vines behind the family home in Kent. While English sparkling wines are all the rage, Jeff noticed that still wines were often just an afterthought. So, spotting a gap in the market, Wayfarer Wines now offers a range of excellent varietals like Bacchus, Ortega, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris. Their focus is on quality over quantity, and they seem to be pretty good at achieving that.
When to drink:
Would pair well with chicken dishes or an end of meal cheese board.
