Vinvita Sangiovese Rubicone 2025

Sangiovese is just as much the signature red grape variety of Emilia-Romagna as it is of neighbouring Tuscany and, as this excellent example shows, it can offer extremely good value for money when from this part of the world. To keep things fresh and fruit filled this is fermented in stainless steel and doesn't spend any time on oak before bottling. It's full of ripe cherry and red berry fruit flavours with a slight floral touch and hint of soft spice that adds that little extra interest. Altogether it's wonderfully well balanced, fleshy and quaffable.

An 'anytime' easy to drink red that also goes down a treat with tomato based pasta recipes or a pizza.
