The Botanist Islay London Dry Gin

This is made at the Bruichladdich distillery - better known its excellent Islay whiskies - using a huge array of 9 classic and 22 locally foraged botanicals. The result is a classic dry gin with full-on aromas ranging from apple mint and citrus peel to summer flowers and spring woodlands and much more. It has a rich and mellow mouthfeel, cool on the entry that slowly warms and finshes with a good long spicy feel.

Bruichladdich is an Islay distillery with roots and traditions that reach well back into the 19th century whilst fully embracing the challenges and opportunities of the 21st. Production is very much focussed around single malts with the Bruichladdich label being used for unpeated expressions, Port Charlotte being used for classic Islay peated styles and the premium Octomore range for some of the most heavily peated Scotch Whiskies you'll find. Very much committed to locally sourced ingredients, all the barley they use is Scottish grown, with a good proportion coming from the island of Islay itself. Look out also for their Botanist gin.
