In a fresh, modern take on this ancient variety a combination of stainless steel fermentation with traditional barrel aging, creates a dark, juicy wine with vibrant acidity and real depth. The palate is packed with loads of crunchy dark fruits, subtle spice, and a gentle tannic grip that carries through to a bright, structured finish. The Producer:
Teliani Valley, established in the post-soviet 1990s by a group of passionate young winemakers, started in a converted car workshop. Despite these humble beginnings, their tremendous vineyards and winemaking skills have propelled them to become one of Georgia's largest producers, now bottling 5 million annually. While their roots are deeply entwined with traditional winemaking, they also champion modern innovation. And they attract and support some of Georgia's most exciting winemakers, providing them with the time, equipment, and top-quality fruit they need. The result? A range of really exciting, contemporary wines that showcase the best of both old and new winemaking traditions.
