Description
In a nutshell:
A delicate Provencal-style rose with fresh aromas of fruit and a smooth texture, from Canterbury in Kent.
The lowdown:
This delicate and fruity Pinot Noir rose has fresh aromas of watermelon and lychee, with peachy, stone-fruit flavours and a delightfully smooth texture. This beautiful Provence-style English rose is created from 100% Pinot Noir, from the Railway Hill vineyard. Its delicate aromas and attractive colour captures the essence of summer.
The Producer:
Simpsons Wine Estate is situated in the Elham Valley; an unspoilt seam in the north Downs of Kent where the contours of land, the climate and the soil are excellent for viticulture. The intensely lime-rich chalk soil forms part of the same chalk ridge that stretches from southern England through the Champagne region and on to Burgundy. The vineyards are less than eight miles from the coast providing a crucial maritime influence the wines.
When to drink:
This is a wine perfectly made for summer drinking. Great for accompanying a BBQ with chicken or other white meat.
