Schlosser Alt

Altbier is a traditional German beer style that originates from around Dusseldorf and is a copper coloured and fairly full bodied beer, quite different to pale pilsners and lagers. This one is an excellent example of the style. Conditioned for an extended period to mellow out the fruitiness and give a superbly smooth and delicate taste, it has a warm, dark amber colour and a light sparkle.

Brauerei Schlosser, established in 1873 in Düsseldorf, quickly earned a solid reputation for its quality beers. Over the years, it has become particularly well-known for its flagship product, Schlosser Alt, a classic German speciality. This Altbier, with its smooth, malty character and a hint of bitterness, continues to stand out as a fine example of traditional brewing.
