Vermentino is Sardinia's signature white, and this is one with plenty going on. It opens with a burst of tropical fruit - juicy pineapple, ripe mango, and a twist of grapefruit peel - with a herbal note that brings to mind sun-warmed shrubs on a stony hillside. There's proper weight and depth on the palate too, with layers of peach and golden plum, rounded out by a soft hint of marzipan that lingers on the finish.
