Paul John Peated Select Cask Indian Single Malt

Cask strength peated whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks. The mix of spices tropical fruit flavours seem to hint at its orgins and with the use of imported Scottish peat it makes for a very interesting Indian single malt.

Founded by Paul John in the 1990s, and based in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru, John Distilleries is one of India's leading alcoholic beverages companies. While they produce and have agencies across a number of different wines and spirits brands their top seller is 'Original Choice' whisky which sell millions of cases annually. In 2008 they introduced a range of single malts under the 'Paul John' label which are produced at the traditional pot-still distillery they established in Goa. The first release was in 2012 and the success they met with has led to a further expansion of the range and they are now exported across the world.
