Description
In a nutshell:
A classic style Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, with bright fresh flavours.
The lowdown:
This is a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc as bright and zesty as youd expect, while showing a surprisingly softer side. It bursts with floral aromatics, featuring lemongrass and passionfruit, complemented by an intriguing touch of blackcurrant on the palate. The finish is crisp and clean, marked by a pleasing minerality and a lingering spicy note. A pretty well put together wine.
The Producer:
te Pa Family Vineyards, founded by Haysley MacDonald, began its journey in 2003, transitioning from dairy and arable farming to viticulture. Situated on the Wairau Bar, the vineyards face Cloudy Bay, renowned for its ideal soil and climate. Their first vintage was released in 2011, marking the start of their successful wine production. The early successes have allowed them to expand, incorporating vineyards in the Awatere Valley and other Marlborough regions.
When to drink:
Perfect, as ever, for pairing with fish, seafood: goat's cheese also works very well.
