Nyetimber Rosé NV

Nyetimber go to great care with their sparking rosé, it's made with vines specifically intended for rosé production. Blended in a dark room to avoid the winemaker being influenced by colour it's all about flavour with this one. The colour is a beautiful sunset pink and its aromas include a charming mix of fresh red fruits along with a hint of anise and lavender. On the palate it has a creamy, round texture with refreshing redcurrant, raspberry and cherry flavours while towards the finish there are hints of brioche as it signs off in an elegant, silky manner.

A darker, richer style than rosé Champagne, it's certainly more than an aperitif.

Nyetimber is based in West Chiltington in the heart of West Sussex, on what is regarded as a perfect site for the production of sparkling wine. The estate was established in 1988, with just over 14 hectares planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. But ever-increasing demand for English sparkling wine has prompted considerable expansion. Owned by Dutchman Eric Hereema, huge investment has been made and they now have hundreds of acres of carefully selected vineyards across Sussex, Hampshire and Kent and state of the art winemaking facilities to go with them.
