Monkey Shoulder was created by William Grant and Sons to be a modern and attractive blended malt with a wide appeal to a new generation of whisky drinkers. It's a mix of small batches of different malts sourced from among their well-known distilleries including Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie. Smooth, supple and easy drinking with a malty character and pleasing sweetness, its richness and vibrancy combine with mellow and vanilla notes making it refreshingly approachable and perfect in all sorts of whisky cocktails.

Launched in 2005 by William Grant and Sons Monkey Shoulder was aimed to be a premium, yet approachable brand bridging the gap between the image of malt whiskies as something to be drunk neat, or on the rocks and that of an ingredient in cocktails and the like. To give an idea where Monkey Shoulder sits in the market, in 2016 it was named the 'Trendiest' Scotch whisky brand in the world by Drinks International magazine.
