Kirin Ichiban

A golden coloured beer, very refreshing, crisp and clean with slight hop and grassy notes on the finish and a hint of sweetness.

Kirin's lineage is very much of European descent both in original ownership and the style of beers produced. The brewery was founded in Yokohama in 1869 by a Norwegian-American brewer. Early production was overseen almost exclusively by German brewers who sourced malt and other raw ingredients from their homeland. Is it any wonder then that their best-known ale to date, Kirin Ichiban is all but a classic German pilsner in style. Now a multi-billion-dollar company you'll find Kirin in most countries worldwide.
