Kernel Dry Stout

This is quite simply a cracking dry stout, full of surprises. You get those classic roasty flavours - dark chocolate and a hint of smoke - but that’s not the whole story. There's a cheeky hop character buzzing beneath, which is bright and peppery - using a different hop bill with each brew. A proper grown-up stout that’ll keep you coming back for more.

The Kernel was brewing in Bermondsey before the now-famous Beer Mile was even a thing. Founded in 2009 by Evin O'Riordan, it set the standard that many others would follow - proper, no-nonsense beer with a focus on quality over hype. And they're not one of those trendy craft brewery brands that started small but sold out to the corporates when the big boys came knocking. The Kernel's indie credentials and credibility are as strong today as they were when they started.
