This full-bodied Stellenbosch red puts Shiraz firmly in the spotlight, with a touch of Mourvèdre and a smidge of Grenache lending a bit of support. Aromas of violets, redcurrant, and cherries come through, with whispers of white pepper and liquorice adding a bit of intrigue. On the palate, it's all about those classic Shiraz hedgerow berry fruits, dried herbs, and a gentle peppery spice, with just enough oak to smooth the edges. The fresh, vibrant acidity keeps it lively, lifting the dark fruit and finishing clean and crisp. Seriously drinkable, but not so serious you won't want a second glass.
