In a nutshell:
A big, soft and rich Stellenbosch Chardonnay only produced in the best years.
Handpicked over the course of two weeks, with the grapes receiving the morning sun picked before those which saw the sun in the afternoon. This mixture provides the excellent balance between fresh, zesty lime and citrus flavours on the one hand and richer stone and tropical fruit on the other. The wine was then matured for 10 months in 80% new French oak barrels. Full-bodied and rich on the palate with white peach, nectarine, lime zest and orange flavours with almond and vanilla oak spice. A long and creamy finish to this opulent wine.
When to drink:
This Chardonnay will work well with many types of rich seafood, pork, and veal dishes.
