Description
Pilsner
Czechia
ABV 5.1% - 50.0cl
In a Nutshell:
A Czech pilsner with a deeper amber hue, more malt weight, and plenty of flavour alongside brisk bitterness.
The Lowdown:
It may look more amber than gold, but dont be fooled - this is still a pilsner through and through. The malt body is rounder than most, giving extra depth and a touch of sweetness that sit comfortably beneath the refreshing bitterness. Classic Czech hops provide their grassy, herbal snap, pulling the beer back into balance. Fuller, more flavourful and amber-tinged, yet still unmistakably a Czech pilsner at heart.
The Brewery:
Jarosovský Pivovar was established back in 1688, serving the town of Uherské Hradite and growing into one of Moravia's prominent regional breweries. After a challenging post-communist period, the brewery sadly closed in 1997, despite remaining a much-loved local name. Fortunately, it reopened in 2015 and has since regained its footing, producing a range of traditional beers and lagers that have restored its strong reputation. A welcome return for a historic brewery.
