Jack Daniel's Old No.7 Tennessee Whiskey

One of the most famous Whiskeys in the world. Jack Daniel's is a Tennessee Whiskey as distinct to Bourbon, but in practice the two spirits are made in a similar manner and with similar ingredients. Here the spirit is filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before being aged in their own handcrafted barrels which gives it the characteristic sweet mellow and oaky flavours that have made it famous.

Jack Daniel's is probably the most well-known of all American Whiskey brands and a bottle bearing the label 'Old No.7' will be seen on the shelves of about every bar in the world. Their origins date back to the mid-to-late 1800s being founded by Jasper Newton 'Jack' Daniels in Lynchburg Tennessee. However, it was Jack's nephew, Lem Motlaw, who, after re-starting operations following prohibition and WWII, was instrumental in making the brand the phenomenon it has become today.
