In a nutshell: Medium, lightly sparkling perry from Hogan's of Warwickshire.
The lowdown: A classic perry in every sense of the word, a medium, lightly sparkling perry, champagne like in colour, well balanced on the palate with subtle fruit tannin qualities and delicate fruit aromas.
In 1985 Allen Hogan was introduced to the art of making cider from locally harvested apples at his base near Alcester in Warwickshire.
It wasn't until the mid 2000s though that he started taking his cider to Stratford Farmer's market which started them out on the road to where they are today. They now produce a much wider range of authentic, fresh pressed ciders and perry from a many different varieties that will suit the tastes of anyone who loves properly made cider.
