Hofbrau Original

The state owned Hofbrau Munchen is a pillar of the Oktoberfest and one of the biggest brewers in town. Original is a pale 'Helles' type beer, typically hoppy, malty and refreshing and one of Munich's signature beers.

The story of Hofbräu München began more than 400 years ago. William V, duke of Bavaria wasn't satisfied with the beer brewed in his court at the time and in 1589 founded the Hofbräuhaus. Today, the Hofbräuhaus Bavarian State Brewery is one of the two remaining traditional Munich breweries in the region.
