Hacker Pschorr Weisse

There's a lot of history behind Munich's Hacker-Pschorr brewery, and they make some of the city's most popular beers. Their Weissebier is deep golden, unfiltered and naturally cloudy. With its full flavour it's very refreshing and also makes a great beer to drink with classic German sausages.

The history of Munich's Hacker-Pschorr goes all the way back to 1417 and even plays a leading role in the foundation of Oktoberfest, when Prince Ludwig I of Bavaria asked them to brew a special beer for his Wedding in 1810. That party grew into the annual celebration we know today, and the festival is still held on land donated by Joseph Pschorr, brewmaster at the time. These days Hacker-Pschorr's fame is down to them producing some of Germany's, and the world's, best loved lagers. The Kellerbier is a stunning example of the style, while the Munchener Gold and Weiss are benchmarks that other brewers have long aspired to emulate.
