Guinness 0.0 Alcohol Free Stout
Smooth and dark with rich roasted coffee and chocolate notes, it delivers the iconic Guinness taste with all the depth, just without the alcohol.
The Lowdown
It's everything you love about Guinness - the smooth, creamy head, roasted coffee and chocolate notes, and that iconic dark ruby colour - but alcohol free. The brewers at St. James's Gate have stuck to their usual magic, using the same ingredients and traditional methods, before gently removing the alcohol with a clever cold filtration process. The result? A stout that looks, tastes, and feels like the real deal only minus the ABV.
The Producer
The story of Guinness begins in 1759, when Arthur Guinness secured a long lease for the St. James's Gate brewery in Dublin. Initially focused on ales, Guinness soon transitioned to a dark brew - a porter in the style popularised in London. However, the key difference was Irish barley. Rich in nitrogen, it yielded a smooth mouthfeel and the iconic creamy head, a stark contrast to the harsh stouts of the time. By the 19th century, Guinness had become a national treasure that evolved into a symbol of Ireland itself which endures to this day.
