This highly reputable cuvee has a bright and golden colour. The nose is dominated by the freshness and the fruit. The Chardonnay in the blend brings finesse sustained by notes of yellow fruits such as peaches and plum. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and generous, as the Pinot Noir gives it structure. Hawthorn and white flowers merge naturally, whilst the acidity is expressed by citrus fruit flavours.
The Producer:
Gosset, founded in 1584, stands proud as one of the oldest Champagne houses, steeped in history and tradition. Though not the biggest player in the Champagne world, they arent exactly small either - in that sweet spot, where quality meets approachability. The sort of place appreciated by those in the know.
When to drink:
Definitely a champagne to drink with food and goes especially well with subtly spiced dishes.
