Composed of 56% Grand Cru Chardonnay and 44% Grand and Premier Cru Pinot Noir, this vintage is considered by Gosset to be the ultimate expression of terroir and of their house style. In contrast to many houses their wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation. This keeps a distinctive freshness and these are undoubtedly rewarding Champagnes for the connoisseur.
The Producer:
Gosset, founded in 1584, stands proud as one of the oldest Champagne houses, steeped in history and tradition. Though not the biggest player in the Champagne world, they arent exactly small either - in that sweet spot, where quality meets approachability. The sort of place appreciated by those in the know.
When to Drink:
Great with meaty fish recipes, roast lamb or fresh goat's cheeses.
