In a nutshell: A traditionally cloudy and flavourfilled Bavarian Helles beer from the Flötzinger Brewery of Rosenheim.
The lowdown: 1543 refers to the year the Flötzinger brewery was founded and whilst this beer hasn't been around that long its one of the mainstays of their range. With a deep, cloudy amber hue it's brewed to a time honoured recipe and has a classically malty flavour and mouth filling texture.
Founded back in 1543 Flötzinger Bräu the oldest and last remaining independent brewery in the Bavarian town of Rosenheim which sits about 50km south east of Munich. It's a brewery that's no stranger to winning awards for its beers many of which have a devoted following.
