Description
In a nutshell:
An organic, fruity and rounded Chilean Pinot Noir from the Bio Bio Valley.
The lowdown:
This New World Pinot Noir is a real treat, with earthy aromas and bright wild strawberries grabbing your attention. You'll catch hints of juniper and black pepper on the nose, adding a nice twist. And the flavours are all about red cherries and a touch of chocolate, making it super smooth. Six months in French oak, add a bit more complexity and interest, but the tannins stay soft and silky making it a welcoming and easy drinking number.
The Producer:
Emiliana are one of Chile's most exciting producers and pioneers in organic and biodynamic winemaking. Started back in 1986 by Rafael and José Guilisasti and since 2000 the celebrated winemaker, Alvaro Espinoza has also been closely involved in the project. They produce award-winning wines from almost 1,000 hectares of vineyards in prime sites including Casablanca, Maipo, Cachapoal, Colchagua and Bio Bio. Their spectacular biodynamic vineyard and winery at Los Robles is a model that attracts visiting viticulturalists and winemakers from across the world. Emiliana's innovative and natural-leaning wines are made with great care and attention and the results are inspiring.
When to drink:
This wine pairs beautifully with fish or shellfish, white meats, or a delicate slice of Prosciutto.
Suitable for Vegans, Organic
