Valdespino 'El Candado' Pedro Ximénez - Half Bottle NV

Until fairly recently, this sherry came with its own miniature padlock, which is what Candado means in Spanish. With a dark mahogany colour, it's got pronounced and complex aromas of dried fruits, raisins, toffee and dark chocolate. Full and luscious, smooth and sweet, it’s everything you’d expect from a PX. It's syrupy but not cloying, with flavours of Christmas cake, nuts, and dried figs. A classic example from one of Jerez's oldest bodegas.

Drink it with a dessert like chocolate cake or drink it as dessert all by itself.
