Description
In a nutshell:
If you're looking for something different, try this aromatic Greek white - its vibrant fruit and zesty finish are made for easy drinking.
The lowdown:
You'll get peaches and apricots with a touch of pineapple and apple when you first sniff this one. It's made with a native Greek grape, Malagouzia, that nearly went extinct but is now having a bit of a comeback. The grapes get picked by hand and carefully looked after, so all those lovely fruit flavours shine through. It's soft and rounded in your mouth, all about those stone fruits. Plus, it's got a fresh, zingy feel and a nice finish that sticks around.
The Producer:
Domaine Papagiannakos sits in the heart of Attica, just east of Athens, where vine-covered hills meet the Aegean breeze. Founded in 1919, the estate is now run by Vassilis Papagiannakos, who brings fresh energy to this third-generation family winery. Old vines of Savatiano and Malagouzia thrive in the regions dry, sunlit soils, producing wines full of clarity and character. Tradition runs deep here, but the approach is forward-lookingsustainable in the vineyard and modern in the cellar. A true reflection of Attica, past and present.
When to drink:
A subtly aromatic white which is perfect for a simple lunch of grilled fish, or perhaps some fresh prawns with a squeeze of lemon.
Suitable for Vegans
