Curious Case February 2025, Luxuriate in the Languedoc

When we landed on 'Silken Shades of Red' as the theme for March's Curious Case, Pinot Noir was the first thing that popped into our heads. And fair enough - it's got that whole smooth, supple, effortlessly elegant thing down to a fine art. But it's not the only grape that does it – not by a long chalk. So, we thought we'd mix things up a bit. You'll find a trusty Pinot Noir in here as your reference point, but we've also thrown in five other reds that tick the same silky, refined boxes that are made from different, slightly less well known grapes. Think of them as Pinot Noir's equally stylish but slightly less famous relations, waiting for their turn in the spotlight. This case takes us on a little tour of Europe, stopping off in places where these kinds of wines thrive. If you love Pinot Noir, you're in for a treat.
